Mining and society

The purpose of this project is to develop improved methods of generating acceptance for new mines and to identify and propose legislative improvements so that decisions are based on the social, financial and ecological dimensions, along with the process of weighing the various factors against each other. To develop activities in an evidence-based way that strengthen society around the mine and improve the gender-equality aspect in the mining industry as well as the surrounding society. All of this in order to ensure a skills supply and sustainable society around a mining establishment in a rural municipality.
