This year, for the first time, SIP STRIM is funding a summer program with the aim of giving students from Swedish universities the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurship and participate in and increase the pace of innovation for the Swedish mining industry. Mines and Minerals Innovation Summer is a program that is part of the LTU Business Summer concept.
Four students will participate and work in teams of two, where each team examines the business potential of an innovation case linked to the industry. The innovation case is being tested and prepared for the next phase of innovation, which may be SIP STRIM’s innovation idea competition or EIT RawMaterials Accelorator. The students are coached by experienced business advisors and other innovation-promoting players in the region. At the end of the summer, the teams will present its solution to clients, potential users, financiers and others interested in the business concept.
Mines and Minerals Innovation Summer is one of four innovation summer teams that run in parallel in an accelerator-like environment where the teams meet and collaborate between the programs.
