“MINING WITH NATURE – The Swedish mining and minerals industry’s road map for biodiversity net gain” creates an overall picture of which issues linked to biodiversity are relevant to the mining industry, both abroad and in Sweden. The goal is to make it easier for the industry and the individual companies to understand risks and opportunities and to set goals for their organization-specific work.
The roadmap has been developed within the Swedish Mining Innovation strategic project “Swedish mining industry’s current and future relationship with biodiversity” by Ecogain and Svemin. The roadmap was presented at Svemin’s autumn meeting on 17 November, and an in-depth seminar will be held on 13 January 2021.
