We are happy to introduce Lars Teglund as our new Communications strategist. Lars is an expert in both digital tools and organizing events, and will strengthen the team in both Swedish Mining Innovation and Metals & Minerals.
Hi Lars! Since the turn of the year, you are the new Communications strategist at Swedish Mining Innovation. Who are you?
– I work at LTU Business and have been involved in everything from space to construction innovation projects. Before that, I have a background with 15 years in the cultural sector where I have been involved in starting both festivals, entertainment magazines and digital TV studios. Now there is full focus on the mining industry in Swedish Mining Innovation and Metals & Minerals, the Impact Innovation initiative, where we will also keep the work with communication and events together.
What will you be working on?
– I think this is exciting: we have most of the pieces of the puzzle to transform the industry. Now it’s about putting them together, promoting cooperation between different stakeholders and facilitating the meetings that have not yet taken place. Good meeting places play an important role here, of course.
What is your main driving force?
– I like working with inspiring people so that we can create results that benefit the bigger picture. And I’m always curious to find the communication that actually makes an impact based on your goals.
Five quick facts about Lars
Growing up: After many years down south, I steered the ship back to Luleå. I never thought so, but now I live on Björkskatan and work at the LTU Business office in the same hoods where I grew up.
Family: Wife and children
Best side: I am often told that I am creative and think outside the box.
Worst side: It is probably just that. That most solutions are actually inside the box. The wheel has already been invented, if you know where to look for it
