New call

A new call is open for applications. The call includes shorter feasibility studies, full-scale innovation projects and pilot projects addressing the challenges defined by the STRIM Agenda. A new criterium for this year is that gender equality is included as part of the assessment.

Bergforsk Days 2018 and SIP STRIM program conference

This year’s Bergforsk Days took place on the 17-18 May. On the first day the 120 participants listened to exciting presentations and discussions about an Attractive Mining Industry, Testbeds and Sustainable Values. Day two gave insight to SIP STRIMs project portfolio and current information from the program office. We also honored the scholars behind the best master thesis, licentiate thesis and PhD thesis as well as the winner of the SIP STRIMs idea competition.

SIP STRIM and Bergforsk would like to send out a big thank you to all the speakers and participants for your commitment during these interesting days.

New strategic projects

During the spring, three important and exciting strategic projects have been launched within SIP STRIM. SveMin, the Swedish Association of Mines, Mineral and Metal Producers, is hosting the projects that all aim at pushing and developing the mining and mineral industries in a more sustainable direction.

Program Day September 27th
This year’s Program Day is scheduled for September 27th. The Program Day is an opportunity for project managers and other participants in STRIM projects to meet and exchange experiences as well as for the program office to inform about current issues.

Workshops strategic research and innovation agenda, STRIM
The strategic research and innovation agenda for the Swedish mining and metal producing industry, STRIM, is being revised. There will be two open workshops during the autumn to frame the new strategic research and innovation agenda. Save the date!
