Driving the green transition by advancing the sectgors of mobility, energy and AI. Participants from Sweden and Canada had the opportunity to deepen collaboration and explore funding opportunities as well as network with industry professionals, academia, and government representatives. In addition, a matchmaking session forum was available on October 5th for startups and corporates to enhance collaboration and solve the numerous challenges these industries are facing.
The conference maintained a high level of speakers and political input with ambassadors and government representatives of Sweden, Canada and Québec. Some of the opening speakers were Ebba Busch, Minister for Energy, Business and Industry and Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden, Hon. François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry of Canada, H.E. Jason LaTorre and Ambassador-Designate of Sweden to Canada, H.E. Signe Burgstaller.

Another highlight was the presentation of the development of AI Innovation in Canada by Ericsons Head of Global AI Accelerator- AI Hub Canada & Head Montreal Site, Prasad Garigipati.
Ten innovative startups from Sweden got the opportunity to travel to Canada, participate in matchmaking at Sweden Canada Innovation Days 2023. Four of these were supported by Swedish Mining Innovation’s Internationalization grant, funded by Vinnova, Energimyndigheten and Formas.
